June and it is Getting Closer

Now into the middle of June and just over 6 weeks to go until Jan becomes Mrs T!!! (well ok that is the official part but Jan will still me Miss Atkins to most people and that is how it will stay)

The last few weeks have been hectic to say the least, Andrew had his 21st birthday which went very well. 1st of all a nice dinner on his birthday. The Saturday he decided to go to watch the BMW golf championship at Wentworth with friends then a few people back here to home for a BBQ on what was probably the coolest evening we had for a long time. The Sunday then was spent celebrating again with the family from Sheffield, Hull and Cheltenham. Although we had booked a fine day for this, having 17 people here ranging fromgrandparents to young cousins of 4, it turned out to be a day of torrential rain, winds and very cool. Even with the weather trying hard to be awkward, it was a very good weekend. He is now of diving in the Red Sea for a week and judging by the texts, enjoying it immensely.

Karen is in the middle of her "A" level exams. All spare moments are taken up with revision but hoping to get her out tomorrow shopping for her holiday clothes etc. She is off with friends to the New Forest in early July. Advice to all keep away from that part of the country then as 8 teenage girls on the hunt may be a problem!!

Jan and I are busy finalising all the small details of the wedding, the choice of words we have to say, the music we want played at different times etc. We have sorted the food and wine so the wedding part is nearly done. Her dress is being altered and that has to be collected. She has even sorted out the wedding ring and that is being made at the moment to be shaped around the engagement ring. Space was fitted in last weekend for a trial run from the hairdresser.

Most of the time is taken up with the holiday in Indonesia and what we can do along with when we can do it. We want to go and see the Orang Utans and other wildlife in Kalimantan (Borneo), Bali, Diving of Komodo along with visiting Komodo, Flores and Rinca to see the Dragons. We would love to fit in a chill-out session in The Gili Islands before we head back through Bali and Java visiting the cultural sights, temples, volcanoes and cities. With a bit of luck we will fit in a trip to see Krakatoa. One month to get a lot in, Indonesia is a huge place so no chance of seeing it all.

If the internet connection allows we hope to update here regularly along with some of the pictures we have taken.
