After leaving the Tsodilo Hills we rejoined the main road
heading north to the Mohemba Border with Namibia. The border posts around tend
to be “officicious” affairs and certainly were on the Botswana side. Many
people to see, collect a piece of paper and take to next window before
eventually getting the passport signed so into the Namibian side. The staff
seemed more friendly and willing to laugh plus less “pieces of paper” seem to
go around. It took about 45 mins to cross over the border and off we went to
Ngepi Camp on the edge of the Kavango River where we have a pool to swim in protected from attacks by the numerous Hippos and Crocodiles.
Besides the bathrooms we have the wildlife to look at and we
have elephants, hippos, Giraffe plus plenty more around.
Just a short update today as we are of the bar for a pre
dinner “snifter” as you do in these parts then dinner in the restaurant. This
is probably the end of the internet again for a few days so updating may take a
little while.
Please post any comments and take a look at the pictures if
we can get them up
Next stop is back to camping in Caprivi nearer to Chobe then
we hit Botswana again and the worl famous Chobe and Moremi Game reserves that
are famous for Elephant and Lion
